Science Notes for 10-1-14
Science, Technology and Attitudes
Science and Technology
In science, a concept is tested, and if it is valid forms a theory/explanation of a phenomenon. While in technology, science is applied so as to help us in various task in everyday life, for example, a washing machine, removing the need to hand wash clothes.
In a time long past:
Machines such as clay and styluses were used to carve out clay tablets
In the not so distant past:
Ink and paper were used to create books
In the unlikely future:
The internet, computers and tablets will be used to replace books when they are combined to make e-books
Attitudes in science (according to Mr Tan)
- Humility-modifying views in the face of new ideas
- Respect for ideas-Respect for the ideas of other (no plagiarism)
- (Healthy)Skepticism
- Seek objectivity
- Passion
- Disposition not to jump to conclusions
Extra: Integrity, willing to try and have a flexible mind
Science Process Skills
-Inferential
-Observational
-Practical Experiment
-Hypothesis Testing
-Fair Test (*3)= Reliability
To be continued.....

IS Project Work
Hello!
I am Ian.
Does everyone already have a group for the IS project work?
If not, then can you tell me by WhatsApp, Gmail, or this blog.
Thanks.
This is so that I can see who I can form a group with.
Thanks once again.
